Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Elijah East ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Dabit (the "App"), a habit and challenge tracker. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Account information
To create an account and sync your data across devices, we collect your email address. Your password is handled securely by our authentication provider (Supabase) and is never stored by us in readable form.
Your habit data
The App stores the content you create so it can be synced and shown back to you, including:
- The habits and challenges you add, with their names, schedules, and settings.
- Your completion records (when you mark a habit done) and the streaks and consistency statistics calculated from them.
- Any notes, reminders, or goals you attach to a habit.
Information collected automatically
- Limited technical data. Basic information needed to operate the App, such as app version and device type. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising services.
- Notification token. If you turn on reminders, we store a push notification token so we can deliver them. If you don't enable reminders, we don't collect this.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account.
- To store your habits and challenges and sync them across your devices.
- To calculate streaks, consistency, and progress over time.
- To send reminders and notifications you've chosen to turn on.
- To keep the App secure and to comply with legal obligations.
Notifications are optional. You can use the App fully without enabling them, and you can turn them off at any time in the App or in your device settings.
How your data is stored
Your account and habit data are stored on cloud servers operated by Supabase so they can sync across your devices. We use reasonable technical measures to protect this data in transit and at rest.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- With service providers that help us run the App, specifically Supabase, which hosts our database and handles authentication, and the service used to deliver push notifications if you enable reminders. These providers may only use the data to perform services for us, and are required to protect it to the same standard described in this policy.
- For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or others.
- In a business transfer, if the App is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Your choices and rights
- Access and edit. You can view and change your habits, challenges, and profile in the App at any time.
- Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the App at Settings → Account → Delete Account. This deletes your habits, challenges, and completion history as described below.
- Reminders. Turn notifications on or off at Settings → Notifications in the App, or in your device settings.
- Revoke consent. You can withdraw consent for data collection by deleting your account or contacting us.
- Regional rights. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Contact us to exercise them.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data and habit history within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal reasons. Backups are purged on our regular backup cycle.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
